Uhrig’s Professional Painting and Paperhanging prides itself on being family-owned and operated for more than 60 years. D. Blaine Watts Painting and Paperhanging, a company started by Don’s grandfather, was founded as a family owned painting and paperhanging business in 1950. The company specialized in interior and exterior painting, papering, staining and pressure washing. After working for his grandfather for many years learning the trade, Donald M. Uhrig Jr. ventured out on his own in 1986. Don purchased the family business from his grandfather, D. Blaine Watts when he was ready to retire in 1988, and combined it with his own business incorporating under the name Uhrig Enterprises Inc. doing business as Uhrig’s Professional Painting and Paperhanging.
In September 1996, Don purchased William Eckert Contracting and through the years acquired many smaller painting companies. These purchases expanded the residential customer base as well as provided Uhrig’s Painting with additional skilled craftspeople.
Today the Uhrig team is comprised of 20 employees with some having tenure back to Don’s grandfather. Uhrig’s Professional Painting and Paperhanging enjoys an excellent reputation in the local community as being a high-end painter delivering quality workmanship by skilled employees who are supervised by seasoned foremen. Further, Uhrig’s offers its customers excellent customer service via a support staff paralleled to none in the local painting industry.
Uhrig’s specializes in residential and commercial interior and exterior painting, paperhanging, faux painting, staining and pressure washing. What differentiates Uhrig’s Professional Painting from its competitors is a focus on achieving a high level of excellence in all we do. Uhrig also owns Hannahoe Painting, a commercial and industrial painting company, and Uhrig Construction, a general contracting company.
